Rás na Ríochta
The second Rás na Ríochta adveture race takes place at Cappanalea OEC on Saturday 16th July 2011.

This event is run by Cappanalea OEC which is beautifully situated in a perfect wilderness location on the mountainous shores of Caragh Lake, Killorglin, Ireland. Rás Na Ríochta is a combination of three different disciplines, including Mountain biking, Hill running and Canoeing.
This testing adventure race is open to those over 18 years of age. There will
be three courses the first one for the more experienced Adventure racer covering
up to 50 km approximately and the second course the 'Sport' version
will involve exactly the same disciplines but over a shorter distance. And new
this year for 2011 is the Rás na Ríochta road. The biking
will take place on the road, the course will also include the Hill running
and Canoeing. One of the unique attractions of this adventure race is the
extent of the off road mountain biking, the scenic nature of the terrain and
the physical challenge of the rugged Kerry landscape. |
