The Rules
The organisers of this event take no responsibility for any loss or damage to
equipment, competitors take part at their own risk.
1. Each competitor must carry at all times:
race number, a compass, map (supplied), first aid kit, enough
water, energy bars and food, charged mobile phone and small
carrying rucksack, wind proofs, watch, whistle .
2. All Road Traffic Laws must be adhered to.
3. Do not trespass or cut corners, please stick to the event route.
4. Check points must be visited in the prescribed order.
5. Please respect the local environment and local inhabitants.
6. Any gates must be left as you find them.
7. Any fences that have to be negotiated during the race please do so
with minimal impact.
8. Throughout the event the following is prohibited littering,
excessive noise, and use of the whistle (except in emergency).
9. Please give assistance to any person(s) in difficulty (e.g. injury)
as appropriate.
10. Any appeals must be submitted in writing to a course official.
11. The race director's decision is final.
Mountain Biking Rules
• Helmets must be worn –- bike
specific or multi sport.
• Each competitor must carry with them a small repair kit for fixing
punctures.
• Any biking paraphernalia can be left by your bike at the bike/run transition
station they must be fixed to the bike.
• You must follow the route marked on the map.
• You must check in at all the control points (CPS) in the correct order
using the dibbers provided.
• Please adhere to the rules of the road while travelling on public roads.
Hill Running Rules
• Follow the route marked on the map.
• Collect all control points (CPS) in the correct order.
Canoeing Rules
• Helmets and buoyancy aids must be worn correctly while on the water.
• Follow the route marked on the map.
